ERAS in Pediatrics Educational Program

Fifty four (54) perianesthesia and pediatric nurses attended the educational session on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) held at Texas Children's Hospital last October 15, 2024. 

The hybrid event was a success. Dr. Souhail Karram and his colleagues Dr. Niccolò M. Passoni, Angie Medellin, MSN, CPNP , and Dr.
Mark Mazziotti presented vital information on the implementation of ERAS in pediatric surgeries--specifically--for orthopedic oncology, urology, and for pectus excavatum.

The hybrid event hosted 16 in person attendees and 38 online attendees. 

Candace Miller started off with a TAPAN UGCR business meeting highlighting the current membership status, calendar of events, open positions, as well as available scholarships.

A fundraiser to assist with Helene and Milton victims was held. A total of $290 was raised by the attendees. The funds will be donated to the Red Cross on behalf of TAPAN UGCR members.
