Position Highlights

  • Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours; 4 10’s a week. call required

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing is required. BSN is preferred. (CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency. required.
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required.
  • One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required.
  • BCLS is required upon hire with an expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.
  • 2 years Cath/EP/IR experience strongly preferred and/or 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without experience.
  • BSN strongly preferred.
  • CVRN, CCRN, CEN certifications preferred

Education

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required OR
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required AND
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.
